Getting started
What is a burst?
One exercise, sized to the time you have and the place you are in. You choose a duration and a location, and BonusBurn hands you a single thing to do.
What is a combo?
For a five or ten minute gap, BonusBurn lines up four different moves with a short rest between them, spread across different muscles. Swap or skip any move; each one is logged as you finish it, and the whole combo counts as one session.
Can I save a combo I liked?
Yes. Tap "Save as a routine" when a combo finishes and give it a name. Your routines live on the Move tab next to a few starter routines, along with a one-tap way to repeat your last combo. Set a reminder on a saved routine and tapping it opens that routine ready to go.
What are programmes?
A programme is a short daily session for a few weeks, such as Desk Reset (ten sessions at your desk) or Floor Core (twelve on a mat). Home shows today's session, the next one unlocks the following day, and each move gets longer or shorter as you rate it.
Do I need equipment?
No. Most moves need nothing more than ordinary furniture: a chair, a worktop, a patch of floor. If you own dumbbells, a band or a walking pad, BonusBurn can include those too.
Am I fit enough for this?
The library is beginner-first. Finish early and BonusBurn records only the time, calories and XP you actually did; cancel and nothing is logged. If you have a condition affecting exercise, check with a clinician first.
Where can I use BonusBurn?
Use BonusBurn in your web browser. One account keeps your subscription and progress together.
Subscription
Is the app free?
No. A paid monthly or yearly subscription is required after onboarding.
What does a subscription include?
Unlimited daily bursts and combos, 71 distinct exercises at 5 durations, personalisation, reminders, complete history, records, weekly quests, your own challenges and badges.
Is there a free trial?
No. You are charged when you confirm the subscription.
Progress and numbers
How are calories estimated?
BonusBurn combines the exercise intensity and elapsed time with the age, sex, height and weight in your profile. It is a personalised modelled estimate, not a sensor measurement.
What are XP and levels?
XP is earned for every completed burst. As XP builds up you move up levels. Levels only go up.
What happens if I break my streak?
Your streak counter starts again. Calories, XP, level and records stay exactly where they were.
Can I see my full history?
Yes. Your subscription keeps complete history, weekly and monthly trends, and personal records.
Safety and data

Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. You can export your burst history and delete your account and its data from settings.
Do you sell my activity data?
No.
